Job summary

Cisco Silicon One's UCS SI team in San Jose, CA seeks a Signal Integrity Testing and Validation Engineer to join a specialized group designing high-speed interconnects for compute servers and AI servers. You will validate hardware and software interfaces, automate measurements, and support prototype bring-up, collaborating with design, ECAD, thermal, and validation teams.

Ideal candidates have a BS in EE with 2+ years in hardware design or SI, plus hands-on lab experience and skills in Cadence

Qualifications

• Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering or related field; 2+ years of related experience.
• 3+ years in hardware design or signal integrity with transmission line theory.
• Cadence Allegro for PCB layout; SPICE and field solvers for simulation.
• Lab experience with high-speed characterization: oscilloscopes, TDRs, VNAs.
• Python or Matlab scripting for automation and data analysis.

Responsibilities

• Assist in system level laboratory validation and analysis of high-speed digital and analog systems.
• Automate measurements and data analysis using scripting and AI tools.
• Lab management of probes, scopes, terminations, and cables.
• Manage licensing and maintenance of simulation servers on Windows or Linux.
• Support prototype bring-up and system-level validation and troubleshooting.
• Collaborate with hardware, layout, and validation teams to resolve issues.
• Document data analysis and correlation of simulation and lab measurements.
• Participate in technical discussions with guidance from senior team members.
• Support signal integrity simulations using industry-standard tools.
