Job summary

AMD in Santa Clara, CA is seeking a Sr. Signal Integrity/Power Integrity Engineer to ensure industry-leading reliability and efficiency in next-generation high-speed systems.

You will design, analyze, model and validate complex channels and high-power components across PCB and package levels. You will collaborate with silicon IP, ASIC packaging, PCB design teams and external partners, perform SI/PI simulations with Keysight ADS, Cadence Sigrity and HFSS, and guide layout and material choices to

Qualifications

• 10+ years in high-speed SI/PI engineering.
• Strong PCB and package design expertise.
• Expert in high-speed interfaces (PCIe, Ethernet, DDR).

Responsibilities

• Model and simulate end-to-end high-speed channels including transceivers, package, PCB, and interconnects.
• Perform time/frequency domain SI analyses using industry tools (IBIS-AMI, SPICE, EM).
• Identify losses, reflections and crosstalk, and resolve issues.
• Conduct channel simulations to optimize BER and SNR for high-speed signaling.
• DOE sweeps across process variations (silicon corners, trace impedance, routing).
• Provide design guidelines on materials, stack-up and routing.
• Work on critical circuits to ensure SI/PI of reference clocks and signals.
• Drive PCB physical design, review layouts, and propose improvements.
• Support lab validation and correlate with simulations.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to keep projects on schedule.
