Job summary

Sorenson Communications is hiring interpreters for part-time and full-time roles in the Vancouver, WA area. The position requires ASL–English interpretation, adherence to licensure standards, and a commitment to reliable attendance. Shifts run Monday through Saturday, with several premium-hour opportunities available.

Applicants should have at least a high school diploma or GED; an associate/bachelor’s degree is preferred. Certification and ongoing training support are provided to eligible staff.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; associate/bachelor’s preferred.
• Interpreter certification as required by local regulations.
• 3 years interpreting experience preferred.
• Strong customer service and problem solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Interpret between ASL and spoken English accurately.
• Maintain licensure/certification compliance as required.
• Adhere to Sorenson standards, FCC regulations and RID Code.
• Maintain attendance and flexibility to cover shifts.
• Learn and adapt to new technologies and processes.
• Collaborate in a fast-paced, regulated environment.
