Job summary

Sorenson Communications is seeking interpreters to provide Sign-to-Voice and Voice-to-Sign interpreting in the US and Canada. Part-time and full-time roles with flexible shifts across Monday–Saturday, 7am–7pm MT, are available.

Applicants should have ASL proficiency, a high school diploma or GED, and interpreting experience. Certifications may be required by local regulations; a supportive environment and opportunities for certification and licensure reimbursement are offered.

Qualifications

• Ability to pass required skills assessment.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Associate’s or bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Interpreter certification required by local regulations.
• 3 years of interpreting experience (preferred).
• Ability to troubleshoot basic technical issues.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, highly regulated, customer-service environment.
• Regular and predictable attendance.

Responsibilities

• Interpret between ASL and spoken English.
• Maintain compliance with licensure/certification requirements.
• Follow Sorenson standards and FCC RID Code of Conduct.
• Adhere to attendance policy and company procedures.
• Complete tasks and paperwork promptly within guidelines.
• Maintain a flexible schedule to meet VRS industry demands.
• Learn and adapt to new technologies quickly.
• Work effectively in a team and with supervision.
