Job summary

ZP Connect is seeking a Sign Language Interpreter for the ZP Flex 12 program. The role provides high-quality ASL/English interpretation via video, in a call center and on-site at customer locations, with responsibilities to uphold NAD-RID Code of Professional Conduct.

Must have fluent ASL and spoken English, pass interpretation skills assessment, complete a 40-hour New Hire Training, and be able to travel. Benefits include Telehealth, 401(k) with match, EAP and flexible scheduling.

Qualifications

• Fluent ASL and spoken English required.
• Excellent interpreting abilities and adherence to NAD-RID Code of Conduct.
• Understanding of Deaf culture and communication access needs.
• Three to five years interpreting experience preferred.
• State licensure or credentials as applicable.
• Must be 18 years or older.

Responsibilities

• Provide effective video relay service, video remote interpreting, and on-site interpreting for consumers.
• Support and model the company’s mission and values.
• Provide excellent customer service with a professional attitude.
• Maintain punctuality and preparedness for shifts and accurate record keeping.
• Adhere to FCC regulations and company policies.
• Demonstrate adaptability to new technologies and fast-paced environments.
• Travel independently when required with valid license and insurance.
