Job summary

ZP Connect is hiring a full-time Sign Language Interpreter to provide high-quality interpreting via video and on-site at various locations. You will interpret in ASL and spoken English, adhere to the NAD-RID Code, and support the center’s mission.

The role requires 36 hours per week with a broad benefits package including health, life, retirement, and disability coverage, flexible scheduling, and paid time off.

Qualifications

• Fluent ASL and spoken English required.
• Able to provide accurate interpretation.
• Good understanding of Deaf culture.
• Thorough knowledge of and adherence to the NAD-RID Code of Professional Conduct.

Responsibilities

• Provide effective video relay service, video remote interpreting, and onsite interpreting for consumers.
• Support and model the company's mission and values.
• Provide excellent customer service with professionalism toward customers and colleagues.
• Maintain punctuality and preparedness for shifts and accurate record keeping.
• Adhere to FCC regulations and company policies.
• Adapt quickly to new technologies and multitask between interpreting and using video-based tools.
• Participate in company-sponsored training for professional development.
