Job summary

Pacific Rail Services is seeking an Operations Shuttle Supervisor to oversee daily shuttle movements and lead a small team at our New Boston facility. This hands-on leadership role emphasizes safety, efficiency, and customer service, with a strong focus on coaching staff and continuous improvement in operations.

You will conduct pre-shift meetings, monitor inventory, and coordinate across departments to meet deadlines while maintaining high standards.

Qualifications

• Leadership and supervisory experience preferred.
• Experience in automotive logistics, rail operations, transportation, warehousing, yard operations, or a related field preferred.
• Strong organizational and inventory management abilities.
• Excellent communication, problem‑solving, and conflict‑resolution skills.
• Ability to monitor productivity and adjust staffing as business needs change.
• Experience conducting safety observations, audits, and employee coaching.
• Basic computer proficiency and experience with operational tracking systems.
• Ability to work flexible schedules, including overtime, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise daily shuttle operations.
• Conduct pre-shift meetings to communicate workload, safety expectations, and operational goals.
• Monitor vehicle inventory and ensure vehicles are moved safely and efficiently.
• Oversee employee productivity and performance standards.
• Assign work based on operational priorities and staffing levels.
• Conduct safety observations and enforce company safety policies.
• Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies and operational issues.
• Perform operational audits and ensure compliance with procedures.
• Coach, train, and develop team members.
• Complete employee evaluations and performance documentation.
• Coordinate with other departments to maintain workflow and meet customer expectations.
