Job summary

SP+, a Metropolis Company, is seeking an Operations Manager for DOT-regulated shuttle services in Cambridge, MA. The role supervises day-to-day shuttle operations, manages staff, handles HR tasks, and oversees accounting duties while ensuring safety and policy compliance.

The position requires a CDL (class A/B/C with passenger endorsement as needed), a DOT medical card, 5+ years of supervisory experience in transportation, and availability for shift variations, with a $95,000 annual salary.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of progressive supervisory or management experience in transportation.
• Experience with DOT-regulated shuttle operations.
• Proficient with Word and Excel.
• CDL Class A/B/C with Passenger Endorsement if required.
• DOT Medical Card required.
• Availability for varying shifts, including weekends.

Responsibilities

• Oversee customer relations to ensure that complaints, disagreements or misunderstandings about the shuttle bus operation or service are resolved diplomatically.
• Oversee daily shuttle bus operation.
• Supervise the quality of work for all employees to ensure that all work tasks and assignments are performed efficiently, effectively, and as required.
• Ensure that proper shuttle operations, security, cash control and customer service procedures are being followed by all employees.
• Handle all personnel issues and paperwork for hiring, termination and training of support staff.
• Supervise shuttle operations in order to ensure that incoming customers are served efficiently and properly.
• Monitor maintenance of the operation to ensure that it is clean and maintained according to company policies and procedures.
• Handle general accounting duties such as accounts payable, payroll, petty cash, and budgeting.
• Monitor and review all damage claims in order to assign responsibility for damages.
• Recommend and implement plans or programs to improve safety of operations to prevent the occurrence or reoccurrence of similar claims.
