Job summary

Ashley Furniture is seeking a Selling Manager to support the Store Manager and assist with management duties. The role encompasses supervising all showroom departments, reviewing sales performance, managing guest concerns, and coordinating with the Visual Presentation team.

Qualified candidates will have a High School Diploma, 4+ years in retail supervision, strong communication, and experience in team leadership. Flexible hours and travel may be required.

Qualifications

• 2+ years working in the retail industry.
• 4+ years supervising in a retail industry.
• Previous supervisory experience required.
• Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office.
• Ability to learn in-house computer programs.
• Ability to handle guest concerns in a timely manner.
• Ability to interview and staff retail location.
• Ability to work flexible hours and travel as needed.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
• Knowledge and experience in team building skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage all showroom departments as directed by the Sales Manager.
• Review sales metrics: margins, volume, quotas, closing ratios; propose goals.
• Assist Sales Manager with customer issues escalated beyond Guest Experience Manager.
• Collaborate with Visual Presentation Manager on product placement; report changes to staff.
• Provide leadership to sales, guest experience, and visual teams as directed.
• Coach staff to build individual and team success in a professional manner.
• Understand budgeted administrative costs including wages and supplies.
• Monitor performance of employees and provide assistance as needed.
• Ensure documentation of procedures and tasks; timely reporting of changes.
• Assist with hiring, training, and coaching the sales team; prepare evaluations.
• Provide timely and effective communications; attend monthly staff meetings.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
