Job summary

Ashley Furniture is expanding its retail footprint and seeks a Selling Sales Manager to lead day-to-day store operations. The role requires supervising multiple departments, managing sales performance, and delivering exceptional guest service.

You will oversee budgets, staff coaching, and training, while collaborating with visual merchandising to optimize product placement. Strong leadership and communication are essential to drive store success and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• 2+ years working in the retail industry.
• 4+ years supervising in a retail industry.
• Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office.
• Ability to learn computer programs quickly.
• Ability to handle guest concerns in a timely manner.
• Ability to interview and staff retail location.
• Ability to work flexible hours and travel as needed.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Knowledge and experience in team building.

Responsibilities

• Manage all departments in the showroom.
• Oversee sales, margins, quotas, and closing ratios; set future goals.
• Handle customer issues escalated beyond the Guest Experience Manager.
• Coordinate with Visual Presentation Manager on product placement.
• Report policy changes to staff.
• Lead sales, guest experience, and visual teams.
• Coach staff for individual and team development.
• Manage budgeted administrative costs including wages and supplies.
• Audit employee performance and provide training as needed.
• Ensure documentation of procedures and tasks.
• Complete various report functions promptly.
• Hire, train, and coach the sales team.
• Administer performance evaluations for staff.
• Provide timely communications.
• Attend monthly staff meetings.
• Other duties as assigned.
