Job summary

Burlington Stores is seeking a Shortage Control Associate in Amarillo, TX. You will help maintain store security and provide outstanding customer service by greeting customers with energy and confidence.

The role focuses on reducing opportunities for theft and reporting incidents to the Manager on Duty. Ideal candidates have 1+ year in customer service or related fields and can work nights, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience in customer service, hospitality, retail, Asset Protection, Loss Prevention, or Operations is preferred

Responsibilities

• Monitor store entrances/exits and high-risk areas to deter theft and maintain a secure shopping environment
• Greet every customer with a warm, confident, and energetic greeting; demonstrate command presence and strong communication
• Identify and report theft incidents or suspicious activity to the Manager on Duty
• Assist in shortage reduction programs and training for associates
• Maintain professional appearance, follow dress standards, and stay vigilant throughout shifts
• Work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays
