Burlington Stores, Inc. is seeking a part-time Shortage Control Associate to help create a secure shopping environment while delivering exceptional customer service.

You will greet customers warmly, monitor entrances, and report any theft or suspicious activity to leadership. The role emphasizes discipline, awareness, and the ability to work in a fast-paced setting with a strong focus on reducing theft opportunities.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience in customer service, hospitality, retail, Asset Protection, Loss Prevention, or Operations preferred.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and monitor store environment.
• Strong communication and relationship-building with customers and associates.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a visible presence at store entrances and high-risk areas to deter theft.
• Greet every customer entering or exiting with a warm, energetic greeting.
• Identify and report theft incidents or suspicious activity to the Manager on Duty.
• Conduct bag and package checks in accordance with safety and security standards.
• Assist in training associates on shortage reduction programs and processes.
• Support store leadership in maintaining a secure environment and safeguarding assets.
