Job summary

Burlington Stores, Inc. is seeking a Shortage Control Associate to help create a secure shopping environment and deliver outstanding customer service. The role focuses on reducing theft opportunities and promoting a safe store atmosphere.

You will greet customers, monitor high-risk areas, and report incidents to leadership while supporting shortage reduction initiatives and associate training. This is a part-time role with competitive pay and benefits for eligible staff.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience in customer service, hospitality, retail, asset protection, loss prevention or operations preferred.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and monitor the store environment.
• Excellent communication with customers and co‑workers and a positive demeanor.

Responsibilities

• Monitor store entrances and exits to reduce theft opportunities.
• Greet every customer with a warm, loud, friendly greeting and maintain eye contact.
• Identify theft incidents or suspicious activity and report to the Manager on Duty.
• Conduct bag and package checks in accordance with safety and security standards.
• Support training of associates on shortage reduction programs and processes.
