Burlington Stores, Inc. is hiring a Shortage Control Associate to help maintain a secure store environment while delivering excellent customer service. You will greet every customer at the store entrance with a confident, friendly tone and work with leadership to report theft and support shortage reduction programs.

The role supports training associates on shortage reduction, stays vigilant throughout shifts, and contributes to a safe shopping experience. Part-time hourly pay starts at $15.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience in customer service, retail, or loss prevention.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and monitor surroundings.
• Maintain confidentiality and exercise disciplined decision making.
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment with a positive demeanor.
• Flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Monitor store entrances and high‑risk areas to reduce theft opportunities.
• Greet customers with a warm, energetic greeting and maintain security procedures.
• Identify and report theft incidents or suspicious activity to the Manager on Duty.
• Assist in conducts bag and package checks for staff and guests where required.
