Job summary

Burlington Stores is seeking a Shortage Control Associate to help create a secure shopping environment while delivering excellent customer service. You will monitor store entrances, greet customers, and work with leadership to report theft or suspicious activity.

The role emphasizes awareness, discipline, and adherence to safety standards. The position supports shortage reduction programs, trains associates, and requires the ability to stand for long periods and work a flexible schedule

Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience in customer service, hospitality, retail, Asset Protection, Loss Prevention, or Operations is preferred

Responsibilities

• Maintain a professional appearance and greet customers entering or exiting the store.
• Monitor entrance and high-risk areas to reduce theft opportunities and ensure safety.
• Identify and report theft incidents or suspicious activity to the Manager on Duty.
• Support training of associates on shortage reduction programs and safety practices.
