Job summary

Hugg & Hall Equipment Company is seeking a Shop Service Technician to diagnose and repair material handling and construction equipment. You will troubleshoot, repair, and communicate progress to Sales, Coordinators, Managers, and Customers while maintaining safety and efficiency.

The role emphasizes minimal supervision, safe practices, and reducing downtime. Prior mechanical training or experience is required, with opportunities for training and growth within a large equipment dealer network.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of mechanical training/education and/or experience in a related field.
• Above average communication skills.
• Ability to obtain equipment operator certifications.
• Ability to read or be trained in reading schematics.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair a variety of equipment at the local branch to bring each unit back to operational and safety standards.
• Effectively communicate with Salespeople, Coordinators, Managers, and Customers about possible downtime and job progress updates.
• Operate in a safe, efficient manner with minimal supervision to decrease equipment downtime while maintaining safe working standards.
