Job summary

Hugg & Hall Equipment Company is seeking a Heavy Field Service Technician with strong mechanical knowledge and customer service skills to join our service team. This role focuses on repairing heavy-class industrial and construction equipment at customer sites while maintaining safety and efficiency.

The successful candidate will troubleshoot, communicate progress and downtime, and work with minimal supervision to minimize equipment downtime.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of mechanical training/education, and/or experience in a related field.
• Possessing or the ability to obtain a complete line of tools, including specialized tools needed to complete jobs at customer locations.
• Minimum 21 years of age.
• Clean driving record.
• Ability to obtain DOT medical certification.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair a variety of heavy equipment at various customer locations to bring each unit back to operational and safety standards.
• Effectively communicate with all involved parties including Salespeople, Coordinators, Managers, and Customers about possible downtime and job progress updates.
• Operate in a safe, efficient manner with minimal supervision to decrease equipment downtime, while also maintaining safe working standards both on-site and during the operation of DOT-rated company vehicles.
