Job summary

Hugg & Hall Equipment Company in Louisiana is seeking a Shop Service Technician to diagnose, repair, and maintain material handling and construction equipment. You will work in the shop, following safety standards, and support the Service team to minimize downtime.

You should have at least one year of mechanical training or experience, be able to read schematics, communicate clearly with Sales, Coordinators, Managers, and customers, and be willing to obtain operator certifications.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of mechanical training/education and/or experience in a related field.
• Possessing or ability to obtain complete line of tools
• Above average communication skills
• Ability to obtain equipment operator certifications
• Ability to read or be trained in reading schematics
• High School Diploma or equivalent

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair a variety of equipment at the local branch to bring each unit back to operational and safety standards.
• Effectively communicate with Salespeople, Coordinators, Managers, and Customers about possible downtime and job progress updates.
• Operate in a safe, efficient manner with minimal supervision, to decrease equipment downtime, while also maintaining safe working standards.
