Job summary

Hugg & Hall Equipment Company is seeking a Shop Service Tech to diagnose and repair various material handling and construction equipment in our shop. This role emphasizes safety, efficiency, and clear communication with sales, coordinators, managers, and customers regarding downtime and progress.

Ideal candidates have mechanical training or experience, the ability to obtain necessary tools and certifications, and strong reading of schematics, with a high school diploma as a baseline requirement.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of mechanical training/education and/or experience in a related field.
• Possessing or ability to obtain complete line of tools.
• Above average communication skills.
• Ability to obtain equipment operator certifications.
• Ability to read or be trained in reading schematics.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and Repair a variety of equipment at the local branch to bring each unit back to operational and safety standards.
• Effectively communicate with Salespeople, Coordinators, Managers, and Customers about possible downtime and job progress updates.
• Operate in a safe, efficient manner with minimal supervision, to decrease equipment downtime, while also maintaining safe working standards.
