Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. seeks an Operations Supervisor to support the Operations Manager in leading a shift at our San Antonio location. You will supervise technicians, coordinators and service staff, manage workflow, and ensure alignment with safety, quality and financial targets.

Responsibilities include labor and asset management, customer communications, and continuous improvement initiatives to meet service levels and U.S. regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• H.S. diploma/GED required.
• Associate’s degree preferred or 1–3 years or more experience in a maintenance operations environment required. Demonstrated success in a Ryder role may be substituted for this requirement.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred or 1–3 years or more experience in a maintenance operations environment required. Demonstrated success in a Ryder role may be substituted for this requirement.
• Maintenance and Technical experience in a shop environment required.
• Supervisory experience preferred.
• Experience with a Shop Management System preferred.
• Microsoft Office intermediate preferred.

Responsibilities

• Workflow management: plan, schedule work to technicians, prioritize and optimize productivity.
• Labor management: training and development of personnel and performance management.
• Customer management: maintain customer relationships, ensure vehicle uptime and communicate PM schedules.
• Asset management: oversee shop appearance, tooling, equipment needs and inventory.
• Quality management: inspections, root-cause analysis, corrective actions and continuous improvement.
• Financial management: manage maintenance costs, payroll, POs, invoicing and bill-backs.
