Job summary

Ryder Supply Chain Solutions is hiring an Operations Manager I to lead a multi-disciplinary shop team at a location with up to 130 trucks. You’ll optimize labor mix, schedule technicians, and drive performance against safety, quality, and financial targets.

You will manage customer relationships, ensure vehicle uptime, and implement continuous improvement initiatives while maintaining 6S standards and asset controls. This role requires hands-on leadership and cross-functional collaboration.

Qualifications

• H.S. diploma or GED is required.
• Two years or more experience in an operations environment.
• 0 to one year supervisory experience.
• Associate or Bachelor’s degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Optimize shop labor and mix of straight time, OT and outside repair.
• Schedule work and manage technicians to meet customer hours.
• Manage customer relationships and ensure uptime and service.
• Maintain 6S standards and shop appearance and assets.
• Lead quality inspections, root cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Control costs and manage shop P&L and invoices.
