Job summary

Take 5 Oil Change seeks an Assistant Shop Manager to support daily shop operations, lead a fast-paced team, and deliver a high-quality, friendly customer experience on the shop floor. You will step in as Manager on Duty as needed, ensuring safety, efficiency, and adherence to Take 5 standards.

The role emphasizes leadership, coaching, and hands-on training, with opportunities to grow into shop leadership positions through strong performance and consistent execution of service standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 months’ customer service experience in a fast-paced service environment.
• Minimum 6 months’ experience leading, coaching, or mentoring others in a fast-paced environment.
• Commitment to following safety policies and procedures.
• Ability to meet applicable age and certification requirements, including Inspector Certification when required.

Responsibilities

• Assist Shop Manager with daily operations and team development.
• Step in as Manager on Duty when needed and coordinate workflow.
• Model fast, friendly customer service and resolve customer concerns professionally.
• Train new team members and provide real-time coaching and feedback.
• Perform Certified Technician and Lead Technician responsibilities as required.
• Assist with opening/closing procedures and daily inventory/adjustments.
