Job summary

Cox Fleet is seeking a Shop Diesel Technician II to support growth in Indianapolis. You will perform licensed DOT inspections, preventive maintenance inspections, and light to moderate repairs on light, medium, and heavy-duty vehicles in a shop environment.

Responsibilities include diagnostics, tool use, and documentation. You will interact with Service Writers and maintain safety standards while fostering efficiency and accuracy in repairs.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED with 3 years of related experience, or 5 years in related field.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to obtain Driver Qualification File.
• Own set of hand tools for job duties.

Responsibilities

• Perform licensed DOT inspections and preventive maintenance inspections.
• Carry out light to heavy-duty repairs and diagnostics.
• Follow safety policies and maintain a clean, safe work environment.
• Interact with Service Writer to assess customer needs and provide repair estimates.
• Maintain and inspect shop service trucks and perform pre/post trip checks.
• Accurately document work performed and parts used on RO via Karmak or device.
