Job summary

Cox Fleet is seeking a Shop Diesel Technician II to perform DOT inspections, preventative maintenance, and light-to-heavy repairs. You will diagnose electrical and mechanical issues and document findings in RO using the Karmak system.

The role involves coordinating with the service writer and maintaining a safe, efficient shop environment. Applicants should have a HS diploma or GED with related experience, own tools, and a valid license.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED or equivalent with 3 years in a related field or 5 years of related experience
• Valid driver’s license and ability to obtain Driver Qualification File
• Own set of hand tools necessary to perform required job duties
• Participate in and complete all company-required training

Responsibilities

• Perform licensed DOT inspections and PMs for light, medium and heavy-duty vehicles
• Diagnose and repair using electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical systems
• Document work performed and parts used in Repair Orders (RO) via Karmak
• Interact with Service Writer to meet customer needs and provide repair estimates
• Maintain a clean, safe work environment and safe operating practices
• Travel to customer locations as needed and adhere to safety policies
