Job summary

Cox Fleet is seeking a Shop Diesel Technician II to support the continued growth of our nationwide fleet service. The role covers licensed DOT inspections, preventative maintenance, light to mid repairs, and diagnostics within a busy shop environment.

You will expand advanced mechanical skills under supervision, ensure safety compliance, and document findings using company tools and RO/Karmak. We offer weekly pay, benefits, and a route to career advancement.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; 3+ years in a related field or equivalent experience.
• DOT/FMCSA pre-employment background screening and DOT physical required.
• Valid DOT medical card or ability to obtain one.

Responsibilities

• Follow safety procedures and company policies at all times.
• Perform DOT inspections, PMs, and light to heavy repairs as needed.
• Use hand tools and diesel equipment for mechanical and electrical work.
• Document work and parts used on Repair Orders; upload photos as required.
• Coordinate with Shop Manager and Parts to obtain approvals and PO numbers.
• Maintain shop trucks and perform pre/post-trip inspections.
• Travel occasionally to customer locations for onsite service.
