Job summary

The Manitowoc Company seeks MGX Shop Crane Technicians to inspect, diagnose, repair and maintain a range of crane equipment including mobile cranes and boom trucks in our Denver-area shop. This full-time role reports to the Service Manager and offers a $2,500 sign-on bonus after 90 days of continuous service, plus eligibility for a tool reimbursement program up to $1,500 per calendar year.

Relocation assistance may also be available for qualified candidates.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED with a minimum of two (2) years of experience as a Crane Mechanic/Technician preferred.
• Must be able to read electrical and hydraulic schematics.
• Must have excellent communication skills with a customer/client focus.
• Possession of a valid driver’s license with a satisfactory driving record preferred.
• Basic computer skills preferred.
• Required to purchase full set of hand tools up to 1.5 inches.

Responsibilities

• Operate and perform thorough inspection of cranes in order to diagnose defects.
• Diagnose, repair and troubleshoot various mobile hydraulic and lattice cranes; repair hydraulic and electrical components.
• Reads, interprets operating and parts manuals, blueprints and technical drawings.
• Tests mechanical, electronic, electrical and hydraulic products and equipment after repair or modification to ensure proper operation and compliance with OEM specifications.
• Prepares for jobs by checking parts and drawings for accuracy and completeness.
• Perform thorough and accurate annual inspections.
• Properly fills out working reports, hours reports, time sheets, hours overviews and expense reports.
• Capable of accomplishing tasks independently without direct supervision.
• Provides excellent customer service.
