Job summary

The Manitowoc Company is recruiting for MGX Equipment Services' Kansas City, MO location for Shop Crane Technicians. You will inspect, diagnose, repair, and maintain mobile and lattice cranes, with a focus on safety and OEM specifications.

The role reports to the Service Manager and offers a sign-on bonus and tool reimbursement program. Expect a full-time schedule, competitive hourly pay, and opportunities for training and advancement.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required with at least 2 years of mechanic/technician experience.
• Experience with mobile crane equipment (Grove RT & TMS, Grove GMK, Manitowoc EPIC/traditional, National Boom Trucks) preferred.
• Ability to read electrical and hydraulic schematics.
• Excellent customer communication skills and valid driver’s license preferred.

Responsibilities

• Inspect cranes to diagnose defects and perform repairs.
• Diagnose, repair and troubleshoot hydraulic and electrical components on mobile and lattice cranes.
• Read and interpret operating manuals, blueprints and technical drawings.
• Test equipment after repair to ensure OEM-spec compliance.
• Prepare parts and drawings for jobs; maintain accurate reports and time sheets.
• Perform annual inspections thoroughly and independently.
• Provide excellent customer service and support.
• Take on additional duties as assigned.
