Job summary

The Manitowoc Company, Inc. is seeking a MGX Shop Crane Technician at our Belle Chasse, LA location. The role involves inspection, diagnosis, repair and maintenance of various crane equipment, including mobile cranes and boom trucks, reporting to the Branch Manager.

Candidates will receive a $4,500 sign-on bonus after 90 days of continuous service and are eligible for a tool reimbursement program up to $1,500 per calendar year. Full-time position with standard hours and overtime as required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED with a minimum of five (5) years of experience as a Mechanic/Technician.
• History of working with Grove RT and TMS Cranes; Grove GMK European Cranes; Manitowoc EPIC and/or Traditional Cranes; National Boom Trucks; Manitex Boom Trucks and Cranes is a strong plus.
• Reads and interprets operating manuals, parts manuals, blueprints and technical drawings.
• Capable of overtime/weekends as required; promotes safety regulations and company programs.
• Possession of a valid driver’s license preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operates and inspects cranes to diagnose defects.
• Tests mechanical, electrical, hydraulic systems after repair to ensure OEM specs.
• Prepares parts and drawings for jobs; ensures accuracy and completeness.
• Maintains safety and compliance with regulations; good customer service and communication.
