Job summary

The Manitowoc Company is seeking a GX Shop Crane Technician in Bloomington, MN. This full-time role focuses on inspection, diagnosis, repair, and maintenance of mobile cranes and boom trucks, reporting to the Service Manager.

A $2,500 sign-on bonus and up to $1,500 annual tool reimbursement are offered, with potential relocation assistance for qualified candidates. Responsibilities include diagnosing defects, reading schematics, testing equipment post-repair, and providing excellent customer

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Two years crane mechanic/technician experience preferred.
• Ability to read electrical and hydraulic schematics.
• Excellent communication with customer focus.
• Valid driver’s license preferred.
• Basic computer skills.
• Must purchase full set of hand tools up to 1.5 inches.

Responsibilities

• Inspect and diagnose crane defects.
• Repair and troubleshoot mobile hydraulic and lattice cranes; repair hydraulic and electrical components.
• Read and interpret operating and parts manuals, blueprints and drawings.
• Test mechanical, electronic, electrical and hydraulic products after repair to ensure OEM compliance.
• Prepare for jobs by checking parts and drawings for accuracy and completeness.
• Perform thorough annual inspections.
• Fill out reports, time sheets and expense reports.
• Work independently with minimal supervision and provide excellent customer service.
