Job summary

MGX Equipment Services in Houston, TX seeks a skilled crane mechanic/technician to inspect, diagnose, repair, and test mobile cranes. The role reports to the Service Manager and requires the ability to work with various Grove and Manitowoc crane equipment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; minimum 2 years mechanic/technician experience.
• Must read electrical and hydraulic schematics.
• Excellent communication with customers and client focus; able to work with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Operate and inspect cranes to diagnose defects.
• Repair and troubleshoot mobile hydraulic and lattice cranes; fix hydraulic/electrical components.
• Inspect parts for wear using micrometers and gauges; read manuals and blueprints.
• Test repaired equipment to OEM specs and proper operation.
• Prepare parts and drawings for jobs; ensure accuracy.
• Perform annual inspections thoroughly and accurately.
• Complete reports, hours, time sheets, and expense documents.
• Provide excellent customer service and work independently.
