Job summary

Alpha Resources in Michigan is seeking a Shipping Clerk to pick, pack and ship orders accurately while following SOPs and ISO standards.

You will process orders in StarShip/Sage 100 (training provided), help schedule freight, conduct inventory counts, and assist with shipping-related investigations and corrections.

Qualifications

• Must have strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Basic math is required for daily tasks.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Keep work area clean and orderly at all times.
• HS or GED required.
• Good time management under pressure.
• Accuracy and efficiency are essential.

Responsibilities

• Accurately picks materials for customer orders and packs for shipment.
• Ensures compliance with ISO standards and regulatory requirements.
• Completes hazardous materials (DOT/IATA) training.
• Processes/tracks orders using StarShip/Sage 100 (train provided).
• Schedules freight shipments as needed.
• Assists with investigation of shipping-related customer complaints.
• Supports daily inventory counts and production when required.
• Investigates and resolves inventory discrepancies related to shipping.
• Performs inventory adjustments as directed by Shipping Manager.
• Carries out additional duties as assigned by Shipping Manager.

Responsible for picking and packing of customer orders, ensuring compliance with ISO standards, procedures, and regulatory requirements. This position reports to the Shipping Manager.

• Accurately picks materials for customer orders and packs the materials for shipment
• Ensures compliance with ISO standards, regulatory requirements, and standard operating procedures
• Completes hazardous materials (DOT/IATA) training
• Processes/tracks customer orders in computer software, StarShip/Sage 100 (will train)
• Schedule freight shipments, when necessary
• Assists with investigation of customer complaints as related to shipping
• Assist with daily inventory counts and production when needed
• Assist with Investigation of customer complaints and any inventory discrepancies related to shipping
• Performs inventory adjustments
• Performs additional duties as required by Shipping Manager
