Job summary

CFX in Ellenwood, GA is seeking a Warehouse Shipping Associate to prepare orders, package and ship final products, and build pallets for secure delivery.

Requires the ability to lift up to 80 lbs, use hand and power tools, and operate forklift or pallet jack when needed. You will document shipments, follow safety rules, meet daily KPIs, and occasionally work overtime or weekends. Reliable transportation to the facility is required.

Qualifications

• High school Diploma/GED preferred; less than high school may be accepted.
• 1+ year experience in a distribution or warehousing environment with packing and shipping standards.
• Ability to lift up to 80 lbs.
• Experience using a tape measure, math and hand or power tools.
• Forklift and pallet jack preferred.
• Able to work overtime and weekends.
• Must have reliable transportation to/from the facility.

Responsibilities

• Pack and ship final products to meet daily shipping objectives.

Job description

Prepare orders by processing requests and supply orders; pulling materials; building crates; packing boxes; load trucks for delivery. Maintain excellent service by following organization standards of quality, and national standards of shipping best-practices. Performs repetitive operations.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES

• Perform shipping functions to pack and ship final products, using hand or power tools, in order to meet daily shipping objectives.
• Perform a wide array of carpenter-related skills and tasks to properly and timely pack final products and ship items securely and effectively to minimize breakage.
• Fill all customer orders with accuracy and timeliness.
• Document, record, and photograph final shipment contents and quality prior to loading it on trucks.
• Coordinate with all departments to fulfill specific and ongoing inventory and shipping needs.
• Build and wrap pallets for secure shipment and/or storage.
• Report defective materials or questionable conditions to the Lead, or Production Manager.
• Ensure a safe and clean work environment by keeping shelves, packing area, and workstations neat; maintaining clean shipping supply area; complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
• Required to follow all company Safety Rules and Procedures (including but not limited to PPE).
• Required to maintain consistent and acceptable attendance according to the assigned schedule provided by the manager as well as the Team Member Handbook.
• Meet departmental goals and defined key performance indicators (KPIs).
• Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Ability to lift up to 80 lbs required.
• Previous knowledge of tape measure, math and use of hand or power tools required.
• Experience using a forklift and pallet jack preferred.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced environment and complete a wide variety of carpentry and shipping tasks.
• Ability to work mandatory overtime and weekends required.
• Must have a reliable method of transportation to/from the facility.
