Job summary

Alpha Resources LLC in Michigan is seeking a dedicated picker/packer to prepare customer orders for shipment and ensure accuracy. You will follow ISO standards and SOPs, train in hazardous materials, and coordinate with the Shipping Manager to schedule freight.

Qualifications

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• HS or GED required.
• Lifting up to 50 lbs daily and keeping work area clean and orderly.
• Experience with order picking/packing and inventory is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Accurately picks materials for customer orders and packs for shipment.
• Schedule and track freight shipments as needed.
• Maintain compliance with ISO standards and procedures.
• Perform inventory counts and assist with production when needed.
• Investigate customer complaints related to shipping and inventory discrepancies.
• Complete DOT/IATA hazardous materials training.

Description

Responsible for picking and packing of customer orders, ensuring compliance with ISO standards, procedures, and regulatory requirements. This position reports to the Shipping Manager.

Description:

• Accurately picks materials for customer orders and packs the materials for shipment
• Ensures compliance with ISO standards, regulatory requirements, and standard operating procedures
• Completes hazardous materials (DOT/IATA) training
• Processes/tracks customer orders in computer software, StarShip/Sage 100 (will train)
• Schedule freight shipments, when necessary
• Assists with investigation of customer complaints as related to shipping
• Assist with daily inventory counts and production when needed
• Assist with Investigation of customer complaints and any inventory discrepancies related to shipping
• Performs inventory adjustments
• Performs additional duties as required by Shipping Manager
