Job summary

RR Donnelley is hiring a Packaging Specialist for 1st shift (6:00 AM - 2:30 PM, Mon-Fri) in Saint Charles, MO. You will assist with daily shipping department duties, move materials, prepare shipments, and ensure products meet customer specifications and service level agreements.

Responsibilities include receiving, packing, loading, and coordinating with carriers. The role requires strong organizational skills, safety compliance, and effective communication with internal teams and customers.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED preferred.
• Minimum 2 years of administrative/operational shipping support.
• Follow policies, procedures, and program objectives accurately.
• Knowledge of materials tracking, storage and inventory systems.
• Basic computer literacy and software proficiency.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and operate safety equipment.

Responsibilities

• Performs manual and clerical duties related to shipment and receipt of materials.
• Check goods against shipping documents and prepare bills of lading.
• Receive materials by unloading and inspecting against bills of lading.
• Support manufacturing areas with standard procedures.
• Maintain files and documentation.
• Operate forklifts and material handling equipment to stage materials.
• Coordinate with customers, suppliers, service, and production.
• Attend production meetings as needed to coordinate shipping/receiving.
• Maintain a clean, safe, organized dock area.
• Report problems or hazards to management.
• May drive local delivery van when required.
