Job summary

Qualifications

• 4+ years’ experience in a shipping department.
• Ability to work flexible hours when needed.

Responsibilities

• Direct outbound shipments to ensure timely orders; plan loading schedules.
• Direct inbound shipments with inspection, unloading, storage.
• Schedule work, coordinate production, oversee employees, approve time records.
• Develop employees; participate in hiring, promotion, and discipline.
• Maintain a safe, injury-free environment; enforce health and safety procedures.
• Train staff on equipment, protocols, standards, safety, and waste control.
• Supervise warehouse operations and equipment inspection for malfunctions.
• Ensure operations meet PCA continuous improvement standards.
• Analyze shipping performance; identify improvements; set goals.
• Investigate customer complaints about shipping or transit damage.
• Participate in production meetings and provide updates.
• Manage on-hand inventory and month-end counts.
