Job summary

Packaging Corporation of America (PCA) seeks a Shipping Supervisor to lead warehouse and shipping operations, manage inventory, and ensure timely outbound shipments across shifts.

Responsibilities include coordinating loading schedules, training staff, and enforcing safety standards. Applicants should have 4+ years in shipping and a high school diploma, with preferred supervisory experience in manufacturing.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• 4+ years' experience working in a shipping department.
• Ability to work flexible hours when needed.
• Some college or manufacturing training is preferred.
• Supervisory experience with training and team development is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Direct outbound shipments ensuring timely shipment of scheduled orders and provide shipment status updates.
• Direct inbound shipments including inspection, unloading and storage of materials.
• Schedule work, coordinate production activities, and oversee employees on shift.
• Develop employees, advise on hires, promotions and disciplinary actions.
• Maintain a safe, injury-free work environment and ensure safety procedures are followed.
• Train staff on equipment, protocols, production standards and waste control.
• Supervise warehouse operations and equipment, inspect materials and prevent malfunctions.
• Analyze shipping performance and identify opportunities for improvement.
