Job summary

Aerotek is seeking a Shipping & Logistics Specialist in San Leandro, CA to support shipping, receiving, inventory, and logistics for a growing manufacturing operation. This onsite role coordinates shipments, prepares documentation, and ensures regulatory compliance, including hazardous materials handling.

The ideal candidate will manage carrier relationships, track shipments, and maintain accurate records while contributing to process improvements within a hands-on warehouse environment.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of shipping, logistics, warehouse, or supply chain experience.
• Experience with hazardous materials, dangerous goods, batteries, or chemical shipments.
• Knowledge of DOT and IATA regulations.
• Experience with shipping software such as FedEx Ship Manager.
• Forklift experience preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

Shipping & Logistics Specialist

San Leandro, CA | Onsite | $20-$27/hr

We are hiring a Shipping & Logistics Specialist to support shipping, receiving, inventory, and logistics operations for a growing manufacturing organization in San Leandro.

This position will play a key role in coordinating domestic and international shipments, preparing shipping documentation, ensuring regulatory compliance, supporting inventory accuracy, and resolving shipping issues. The ideal candidate has experience handling hazardous materials, dangerous goods, batteries, or chemical shipments and enjoys working in a hands-on operational environment.

What You'll Do

• Coordinate domestic and international shipments
• Prepare shipping labels, customs documents, and compliance paperwork
• Package and ship hazardous materials, batteries, chemicals, and regulated products

What We're Looking For

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of San Leandro, CA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $27.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
