Job summary

American Cruise Lines is hiring servers for the 2026 cruising season to work aboard our ships in the hotel and restaurant. This temporary role spans up to 28 weeks, with training and uniforms provided and travel, room and board covered.

You will deliver elegant dining experiences, set up all meal periods, and assist with special events while maintaining our high hospitality standards. This position offers a strong foundation in cruise hospitality and teamwork on diverse itineraries.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old and eligible to work in the U.S.
• Pre-employment drug test required; alcohol use onboard ship is prohibited.
• Grooming standards apply; temporary position limited to 28 weeks.
• Successful candidates work well under pressure with a positive attitude.

Responsibilities

• Provide guests with an elegant, memorable dining experience.
• Efficiently set up and break down meals and cocktail hours, including table setting and service.
• Acknowledge guests, escort to tables, present menus, suggest courses and wines, answer questions.
• Relay orders to galley and serve courses and beverages, ensuring proper presentation.
• May perform additional duties such as greeting guests onboard, serving afternoon teas, and supporting events.
