Job summary

American Cruise Lines is hiring as servers for the 2026 season to work aboard our ships’ hotel and dining areas. This temporary role runs up to 28 weeks, with duties spanning breakfast through cocktail service and occasional entertainment support.

You will be part of a hospitality-focused team, handling guest interactions, menu recommendations, and precise service standards while traveling across the U.S. on ocean or river itineraries.

Qualifications

• Must be at least eighteen (18) years old and a U.S. citizen or Green Card holder.
• Pre-employment drug testing required per federal law.
• Alcohol consumption strictly prohibited on shipboard duties.
• Grooming standards limit visible tattoos and piercings.

Responsibilities

• Provide guests with an elegant and memorable dining experience.
• Set up and break down breakfast, lunch, dinner, and cocktails, including table settings and linen arrangements.
• Relay orders to the galley and serve courses and beverages with care, presenting items attractively.
• Greet guests by name, escort to tables, present menus, and answer questions about menu items.
• Assist with embarkation greetings, afternoon tea service, snacks, and evening entertainment as needed.
