Job summary

American Cruise Lines seeks an Assistant Hotel Manager to support the Hotel Manager on our fleet of American-flagged ships for the 2026 season. You will supervise the hotel team, ensure service standards, and assist in dining, housekeeping, and guest services to deliver a premium small-ship experience in U.S.

waters. Responsibilities include front/back of house supervision during meals, crew training, and turnover planning.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in hospitality management preferred.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
Business degree may be considered with management and hospitality experience.
Military experience may be considered with management and hospitality experience.
Minimum 3 years of management experience in a full‑service hotel, resort, or cruise ship.
Strong organizational and English communication skills.
Willingness to travel and work long/irregular hours.
US Coast Guard pre‑employment drug test required.
TWIC credential required.
Ability to perform essential functions with or without accommodation.

Responsibilities

Supervise Housekeeping Manager and Guest Service Coordinator under the Hotel Manager.
Assist Hotel Manager as directed and assist Dining Room Manager during meals.
Perform duties of Hotel General Manager when needed on/off ship 1–2 times per week.
Prepare turnover and handoffs with Hotel Manager during time off.
Be present during meals and support front and back of house operations.
Oversee cleanliness of staterooms and public spaces; conduct inspections.
