Job summary

American Cruise Lines, the largest USA flagged cruise line, seeks a Hotel General Manager to oversee shipboard hotel operations for the 2026 season. You’ll lead guest services, housekeeping, dining, and the hotel team to create exceptional on-board experiences on our American ships.

Responsibilities include supervising department heads, ensuring service standards, managing inventories, and maintaining safety and compliance while delivering gracious hospitality on a premium small-ship voyage.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of hotel or food and beverage management experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in business or hospitality management preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite applications.
• Willing to live and work aboard the ship.
• TWIC credential and ability to travel with flexible schedule.

Responsibilities

• Supervise the Assistant Hotel Manager, Housekeeping Manager, Restaurant Manager, Cruise Director and dining staff.
• Ensure service standards and procedures are followed across hotel operations.
• Assess management performance and provide corrective feedback.
• Anticipate guest and crew needs and respond promptly to requests.
• Oversee food service, culinary operations, menus, and inventories.
• Lead shipboard staff to achieve weekly sales goals and high guest satisfaction.
• Maintain cleanliness and safety standards in passenger areas and crew spaces.
• Manage hotel finances, timecards, and home office reporting.
