Job summary

American Cruise Lines is seeking a Hotel General Manager to lead the shipboard hotel operations for the 2026 season. You will oversee dining, housekeeping, guest services, and crew performance while maintaining service standards and guest satisfaction.

The role requires living aboard, coordinating with the Executive Chef, and ensuring compliance with company procedures. The position emphasizes hospitality excellence, staff leadership, and the ability to deliver a warm guest experience across

Qualifications

• 3+ years of hotel or food & beverage management experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in business or hospitality management preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Willing to live and work aboard the ship.
• Optimism and a hardworking drive to succeed.
• Cruise industry experience not required.
• Ability to meet moderate physical demands incl. lifting, bending, climbing, long walking/standing.
• TWIC; ability to pass pre-employment drug tests.
• Available for travel and flexible schedule including 14–15 hour days for 6–8 weeks at a time.

Responsibilities

• Supervise the Assistant Hotel Manager, Housekeeping Manager, Restaurant Manager, Cruise Director, and other hotel staff.
• Ensure adherence to company procedures and service standards across dining, housekeeping, and guest services.
• Oversee food and beverage operations, inventory, and kitchen compliance with menus/recipes.
• Lead crew orientation, scheduling, and discipline; maintain shipboard cleanliness standards.
• Coordinate staff to deliver memorable guest experiences and meet weekly sales goals.
• Perform bartending duties as needed with management.
• Handle home office reporting and shipboard accounting tasks.
