Job summary

American Cruise Lines, the largest USA flagged cruise line in the United States, is seeking a Hotel General Manager to lead the shipboard hotel operations for the 2026 season. You will oversee guest experience, dining, housekeeping and crew management aboard our US-flag fleet.

Qualifications

3+ years of hotel or food and beverage management experience.
Bachelor’s degree in business or hospitality management is preferred.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite applications.
Willing to live and work aboard the ship.
Cruise industry experience not required.
Ability to meet moderate physical demands, including lifting, bending, climbing, and long periods of walking or standing.
Available to travel and work a flexible schedule including 14 to 15 hour days for six to eight weeks at a time.
Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC).

Responsibilities

Supervise the hotel management team and officers.
Ensure service standards for dining, housekeeping, guest services, and training.
Oversee food service and culinary operations for guests and crew.
Manage shipboard inventories, timecards, and home office reporting.
Lead crew to achieve weekly sales goals and maintain cleanliness in passenger areas.
