Job summary

American Cruise Lines seeks an Excursions Director to engage guests in every destination via shoreside excursions, explorations and adventures. You will lead all shore excursions, coordinate with vendors, and act as brand ambassador on excursions aboard our US-flag ships.

The role requires exceptional guest service, strong organization, and the ability to work long hours at sea. You will interact with guests at meals and on tours, manage inventory and reporting to the Home Office, and help

• Public speaking skills with confidence and clarity.
• Strong time management to handle back-to-back shore excursions.
• Excellent guest relations and service mindset.
• Experience coordinating with vendors, operators, and ground teams.

Responsibilities

• Arrange, confirm and adjust all shore excursions, explorations, adventures and transfers.
• Be well-versed in cruising regions, ports of call, and excursions offered.
• Accompany guests on daily excursions as a company representative and brand ambassador.
• Coordinate logistics with vendors, coach companies and ground operators for timely service.
• Accommodate guest requests including personalized arrangements such as kayaking and private transportation.
• Interact with guests during meals and activities to promote engagement and brand loyalty.
• Present detailed excursion briefings at the start of each cruise and communicate changes confidently.
• Oversee excursion inventory and invoicing; manage related systems and reporting.
• Manage launch boat operations with the Mate and coordinate port information materials.
