Job summary

American Cruise Lines seeks an Excursions Director to lead shore excursions, explorations, and guest experiences on our 2027 season. You will coordinate with vendors, supervise inventory, and present excursion briefs on every voyage, while representing the company and ensuring exceptional guest satisfaction.

The role requires extensive guest interaction, long hours at sea, and a proactive, energetic approach. TWIC credential and strong knowledge of U.S.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in hospitality, tourism, or event management is preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite applications.
• Enthusiasm, confidence, and a can-do attitude.
• Strong public speaking skills.
• Excellent time management and attention to detail.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. Geography preferred.
• Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC).
• Ability to perform the essential functions of the job with or without accommodation.

Responsibilities

• Arrange, confirm and adjust all shore excursions and transfers.
• Be well-versed in cruising region, ports of call and excursions offered.
• Accompany guests on daily excursions as company representative.
• Coordinate logistics with vendors to ensure timely service.
• Accommodate highly personalized guest requests.
• Socialize with guests during meals and events.
• Present detailed excursion briefings at cruise start.
• Communicate excursion changes confidently to guests.
• Oversee excursion inventory and invoicing system.
• Manage launch boat operations with the Mate.
• Coordinate office inventory and materials for turnaround days.
• Inform crew of daily excursion offerings and promotions.
