Job summary

THOR Solutions, LLC is actively seeking an ENGINEERING TECHNICIAN VI (Fire Fighting, Auxiliaries, & Pollution Abatement) with U.S. Navy shipboard experience to provide full-time support for U.S. Naval shipboard equipment at SWRMC in San Diego, CA.

The role involves troubleshooting, maintenance, training Ship's Force, and ensuring fleet readiness. The position requires extensive hands-on naval experience, the ability to work with Navy personnel, and the potential for up to 10% travel.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• At least ten years of hands-on experience in operation, repair, maintenance and assessment of naval auxiliary equipment.
• Ability to communicate effectively in writing and orally.

Responsibilities

• Provide full-time onsite support and surge support for Code 251 cognizant equipment.
• Conduct fleet technical assistance, evaluations, troubleshooting and repairs as needed.
• Perform inspections and observations to determine equipment condition and adjust settings.
