THOR Solutions, LLC is actively seeking an ENGINEERING TECHNICIAN VI (Steam) to support U.S. Navy shipboard auxiliary equipment at SWRMC in San Diego, CA.

The role involves working with Navy personnel aboard ships and at regional facilities to troubleshoot, maintain, and assess steam and related systems. The position requires a Secret security clearance, a high school diploma or GED, and at least ten years of relevant naval steam system experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• At least ten years of relevant experience in operation, repair, maintenance and assessment of U.S. Naval steam systems and related electrical systems.
• Experience with shipboard equipment and shipboard maintenance.
• Ability to use MS Office for reports and data handling.
• Effective written and oral communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide full-time onsite and surge support for Code 266 equipment.
• Conduct assessments, inspections, and grooms to determine equipment condition and performance.
• Provide onboard maintenance training to Ship's Force technicians.
• Analyze inspection data and recommend repairs or replacements.
• Report findings to Team Leader within required timelines.
