Job summary

Reworld, a leader in sustainable waste solutions, seeks a Shift Supervisor for its heavy industrial power-generation facility in Preston, CT. You will lead plant operations, supervise boiler and turbine equipment, enforce safety and environmental permits, and coordinate maintenance and emergency responses on rotating day/night shifts.

You will mentor a cross-trained team, ensure regulatory compliance, and drive reliability and efficiency in power generation while supporting long-term operational

Qualifications

• Three or more years of supervisory experience in a heavy industrial or manufacturing environment.
• Hands-on experience with high-pressure boilers and electric-generating equipment.
• Detailed knowledge of steam-generating power plant operations, instrumentation, and control systems.
• Power-generation or resource-recovery experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe working environment and ensure compliance with company safety policies.
• Supervise operation of boilers, turbines, and associated equipment during shifts.
• Conduct plant rounds and monitor conditions, equipment performance, and personnel activities.
• Direct and, when necessary, personally perform required operational actions to restore safe operation.
• Lead shift closures, inspections, and housekeeping activities.
• Train and develop shift personnel for cross-training.
