Job summary

Reworld Waste, LLC is seeking a Shift Supervisor to lead the safe, compliant operation of a heavy industrial power-generation and resource-recovery facility on an assigned shift. You will supervise plant personnel and oversee boilers, turbines, steam-generation systems, and associated equipment.

Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will conduct rounds, coordinate maintenance, and enforce environmental permits.

Qualifications

• Three+ years of supervisory experience in heavy industrial/manufacturing.
• Hands-on experience with high-pressure boilers and electric-generating equipment.
• Strong knowledge of steam-generating plant operations, instrumentation, and controls.
• Power-generation or resource-recovery experience preferred.
• High school diploma or GED required; BS degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe working environment and ensure compliance with safety policies, procedures, and permits.
• Supervise operation of boilers, turbines, steam-generation systems, electric-generating equipment, instrumentation, control systems, and supporting equipment.
• Conduct regular plant rounds and monitor operating conditions, equipment performance, and personnel activities.
• Respond to injuries, accidents, equipment failures, operational emergencies, and abnormal plant conditions.
• Direct personnel and, when necessary, perform required actions to restore safe operation.
• Approve equipment clearances and lockout/tagout procedures and issue safety permits.
• Troubleshoot plant issues and coordinate preventive and corrective maintenance.
• Maximize facility performance, reliability, and efficiency; ensure license and certifications are kept up to date.
• Lead shift, daily, weekly, and monthly inspections; train and develop shift personnel.
