CVS Health seeks a Shift Supervisor Trainee for an entry-level position that prepares employees for supervisory roles. This role involves management of staff, customer service excellence, and learning company operations. Successful candidates will foster customer loyalty and support store management's performance goals.
The Shift Supervisor Trainee role is an entry-level, short-term position designed to prepare employees for higher supervisory roles, such as Operations Supervisor or Shift Supervisor. The trainee performs tasks as directed to develop supervisory skills, completes basic management training, and learns about key aspects of the business, including building customer loyalty through exceptional service and understanding CVS/pharmacy culture.
Upon successful completion of the training program, trainees are eligible for promotion to open Operations Supervisor or Shift Supervisor positions. These leadership roles support the store management team in driving store performance and fostering customer loyalty through excellent service. When no manager is onsite, the Operations or Shift Supervisor leads the staff, ensures smooth operations, and completes all opening and closing procedures.
Minimum requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent, retail experience, deductive reasoning, analytical and computer skills, and advanced communication skills. Flexibility to work early mornings, overnights, weekends, and overtime as needed.
The pay range reflects the base hourly rate or full-time salary, depending on the position, experience, education, and location.
